With its fast 7.1: 1 ratio, its compact profile and its large capacity, the Wombat 71 LJ casting reel is intended for light jigging, madai, tenya and other very popular Japanese techniques. Built around a monobloc aluminum structure, its compact low profile design combined with proven mechanics makes it an ideal reel to equip our Salt Sniper and Shükan rods.
With a fast ratio, it is ideal for jigging peaches, because they are often practiced at great depth. A casting reel with a too slow ratio (<7.1: 1) would quickly be very unpleasant to use during the animations and the lifts.
You will notice its adjustable crank with a large EVA handle, ensuring a comfortable grip and its powerful combat brake, capable of stopping any marine predator who tries to take refuge in its lair.
